About Us

Since 1931, Ringling College of Art and Design has cultivated the creative spirit in students from around the globe. The private, not-for-profit, fully accredited college offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in eleven disciplines and the Bachelor of Arts in two. The College’s rigorous curriculum employs the studio model of teaching and immediately engages students through a comprehensive program that is both specific to the major of study and focused on the liberal arts. The Ringling College teaching model ultimately shapes students into highly employable and globally aware artists and designers.

Ringling College of Art and Design is located at 2700 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Florida.
The Cintiq lab in the Alfred R. Goldstein Library  is one of many located across campus and available to students.

Students work in the Computer Animation lab. The Computer Animation program has been consistently ranked number one in the world.
The Larry R. Thompson Academic Center houses three majors, as well as a cafe, auditorium, and gallery and exhibition spaces.
Students can work and relax all across Ringling College’s 50+ acre campus.
Apartment-style suites at Bridge Apartments include multiple common areas and breakout spaces for creative collaboration for upperclassmen.
The Library consists of three floors and also houses the Student Learning Center, Student Access Services, and Special Collections.
Students can hang out and enjoy the outdoors on the back steps of the Goldstein Library.
Ringling Film students work on set as part of the College’s top-ranked film program.
Located in the Richard and Barbara Basch Visual Arts Center is a hot and cold shop for glassblowing.
Students from all majors can take a minor alongside their chosen degree program, including a minor in Fine Arts or Realistic Painting.
A student creates a digital environment for Ringling’s Game Art program, consistently ranked nationally and internationally.
Students work in the VR lab. Ringling’s Virtual Reality Development program is the first BFA of its kind in the world.
