Sarasota County Administrator, Jonathan Lewis, has selected Nicole Rissler, the current director of Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, as Assistant County Administrator. Rissler will begin her new role effective Jan. 28, 2026.
Rissler brings more than two decades of public sector and nonprofit leadership experience. She has served as director of Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources for the last seven years. During this time, she has directed a nationally recognized Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Department, and has assisted the County Administrator with a variety of other significant initiatives.
“Nicole’s passion for public service makes her the right fit for our team,” says County Administrator Jonathan Lewis. “She is an innovative leader who is always looking for ways to be better.”
Rissler earned a Master of Business Administration from Lynn University. Her background also includes executive leadership roles with Nathan Benderson Park Conservancy and Visit Sarasota County.
