Beginning in March 2025, businesses located in unincorporated Sarasota County will have a new service provider. The current agreement with Waste Management, Inc. expires March 29, 2025, and the transition to the new service providers will take effect on March 31, 2025. Community survey opens for Resilient SRQ recovery plans for Hurricanes Helene and Milton and Tropical Storm Debby Sarasota County invites community members to participate in the newly launched Resilient SRQ unmet needs survey to provide feedback for the county’s recovery action plan. Sarasota County commemorates the two millionth passenger milestone on its Siesta Key trolley. To mark the special occasion, the trolley is being rebranded as the Route 77 Siesta Islander.
