My Mother, sister and I moved to Sarasota from Albuquerque, NM, in 1968, I started high school at Riverview and graduated from Sarasota High School in 1971. In 1972, I began my art studies at the world-acclaimed Ringling College of Art, graduating in 1975.
Those were fun years in Sarasota. We loved swimming at Siesta Key and Crescent beach. Nothing was more fun at night than having friends gathered around fires on the beach, laughing and playing music.
I became a full time artist/painter in 1983. I’ve strived to provide my artwork to as many people as possible by selling my work at very reasonable prices. Because of that, I’ve been very successful and never had to look for work. It’s given me the opportunity to become skilled in many areas, including portraits, plein air painting and murals.
